‘We made a documentary about the Asian market’, says student Chaozhou Chen. ‘We interviewed people who have done business in Asia like an ex-CEO of Phillips. We asked them about the difference between Europe and Asia. And things you have to know about religion and culture.’
Differences
What struck Chen the most were the differences in etiquette. ‘In Europe negotiations start on a formal basis. In Asia you first have to build up an informal relationship before you can start talking business.’
