The students get a warm welcome from the Avans International Office. They are treated on special Dutch candy and food: cheese, liquorice (in Dutch: ‘drop’) and treacles (‘stroopwafels’). They are shown around the school buildings and receive an Avans t-shirt.
Sporting and partying
This afternoon the new students will take a walk through the city of Den Bosch. After that the students will go to Sportiom, the sports center for students in Den Bosch, where they can work out at that moment or buy a sports card for later.
The students are coming from all over the world: not only from Europe, but also from China, South Africa and even Brasil. Tomorrow night there’s a dinner and party in Breda for all the new foreign students of Avans. [LJ]
