On Tuesday February 17th 2015 Stef Bijlholt passed away. Stef was an Avansstudent at Environmental Science for Sustainable Energy and Technology (ESSET) in Breda since September 2014.
In his mourning card we read:
“You came into our lives in a sigh, in one blow you leave us.
It should not be like that, it must not be like that, but nevertheless it is reality.
Our dear son, brother, friend and grandson.”
Stef came into the ESSET program after a broad orientation and was determined to do his very best. He cared for the environment and felt in place in the international community of ESSET students. During the February holidays we were informed about the sudden death of Stef after an accident at his student appartment.
We remember Stef as a friendly and silent young man, who was very serious about his studies. He was concerned about his fellow students and his shy smile endeared him to teachers and students alike. He was kind, modest and calm by nature. It is unimaginable he is no longer with us. In silence and with respect we remember Stef. We will also remember him next Monday, February 23th 11.00, at a gathering in LD102 at our School of Life Sciences on the Lovensdijkstraat.
His parents, family and friends will gather Saturday 21st of February to say goodbye to Stef. The service will be held at the Atrium of the Cultuurkwartier in Sneek (NL), Oud Kerkhof 11. You can pay your respects from 12.30 on. At 13.30 the life of Stef will be remembered. After the service Stef will be accompanied by his family and closest friends to the crematorium.
We wish the family and all Stef’s loved ones much strength in these difficult times.
