Caps and gowns
All teachers and graduate students will be wearing a cap and a gown, just like people do during graduate ceremonies in America. At the end of the ceremony the students will throw their caps in the air. It is the first time that ASIS follows this American tradition. ASIS employees got inspired to do this when seeing it in other countries.
The chairman of the Board of Avans, Paul Rüpp, will be present at the ceremony (with a speech) and also the deans of some of the partner schools of ASIS. Of course, the family and friends of the graduate students are very welcome too this afternoon. Two students will receive special honour: the best student of ASIS and the best ambassador of ASIS towards the corporate world.
The ASIS Graduation Ceremony is in the Antoniuskathedraal (Antonius Church) in Breda and it will start at 15.00 hours. It will continue until 20.00 hours and includes dinner together. [LJ]
