Herdenkingsbankje max Marie Lausch 02
The name of Marie Lausch, who died in the Paris terrorist attacks, has been carved into the memorial bench installed by the Avans School of International Studies (ASIS).

Lausch, a French national, graduated from the International Business & Management Studies (IBMS) programme in 2015. She was at the Bataclan concert hall when terrorists opened fire. She did not survive the attack. Her parents travelled to Breda last month to be present at the unveiling of the carving of her name.

The memorial bench can be found in the part of the Avans garden on Hogeschoollaan in Breda behind Xplora. It was installed there in 2012 following the death of German IMBS student Sebastian Müller. He was completing a work placement in Yogyakarta, Indonesia when he was fatally injured in a motorcycle accident.
